Four Colt .45s players are in this set, and my collection contains all of them.
The following description of this set of cards if from: http://www.jewishmajorleaguers.org/card_set/theCardSet.html--"American Jews in America's Game" is an offering of the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS), America's oldest ethnic history organization. This 142-player commemorative set has been produced for AJHS by Jewish Major Leaguers, Inc. (JML) , and Fleer Trading Cards. This boxed set also contains career leader and "check-list" cards, as well as an essay on the making of the set, and the American Jewish baseball experience.
JML located the player photos, wrote the text of the cards, and developed the basic design of the set. Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association have generously agreed to license the set on a non-commercial basis, while Fleer has matched that generosity by managing production and packaging on a cost-only basis.
This is a limited edition of 15,000 sets.
It is based on the Jewish Sports Review list of players, with a few additions and one subtraction.
Of the 142 players, 33 never appeared in a card set, and another nine appeared only as minor-leaguers.
Most of the photographs were supplied by George Brace of Chicago, legendary photographer who recently passed away at age 89. Mr. Brace had photos of about 40 players whose photos did not exist in the great archives of either the Hall of Fame or The Sporting News.
We found photos of another six players by contacting families and University archivists.
